Bianca wants to escape. At the eerily Gothic Evernight Academy, the other students are sleek, smart, and almost predatory. Bianca knows she doesn't fit in. When she meets handsome, brooding Lucas, he warns her to be careful—even when it comes to caring about him. But the connection between them can't be denied. Bianca will risk anything to be with Lucas, but dark secrets are fated to tear them apart . . . and to make Bianca question everything she's ever believed.

Evernight is the first book in a series of four novels written for Young Adults.Evernight i consider to be one of my favourite series, even tho its predictable and a soppy romance novel, i still enjoyed it. i think if you are a twilight lover you would really enjoy it. although in the case of bianca vs bella i think shes a little more... dangerous.  I really dont understand why i liked this book so much, i read it a while ago so i think if i read it again i wouldn't find it as good as it was. There are no real WOW scenarios, no real twists or high points so it was pretty slow and didn't really have a point, although there are a few mysteries that strech through the novel, that kept me engaged. Evernight was a book that was predictable from the begining, she met a guy --> there was a forbiden romance --> they still had to be together... etc etc. It was also very childish, so that could be why it wasn't so excting.

The charecters in this book and the setting for the novel, were my favourite aspects of Evernight. Bitchy popular girls, a crazy room mate, a gazzilion year old vampire who can't work a microwave, a hot vampire hunter... what more could you want?? :) I also like how the novel doesn’t reveal all of its secrets in the book and while the story does have a conclusion (which is always good because I am too impatient to enjoy cliff-hanger endings) its clear that there are plenty more discoveries to be made about Evernight Academy.
i recomend this book, to younger teen readers who enjoy a good paranormal novel.
