Author~ P.C. Cast & Kristin Cast
Rating~ 4/5
Books in Series~ Marked, Betrayed, Chosen, Untamed, Hunted, Tempted, Burned, Awakened

Enter the dark, magical world of the House of Night, a world very much like our own, except here vampyres have always existed. Sixteen-year-old Zoey Redbird has just been Marked as a fledgling vampyre and joins the House of Night, a school where she will train to become an adult vampyre. That is, if she makes it through the Change – and not all those who are Marked do.
It sucks to begin a new life, especially away from her friends, and on top of that, Zoey is no average fledgling. She has been chosen as special by the vampyre Goddess Nyx. Zoey discovers she has amazing powers, but along with her powers come bloodlust and an unfortunate ability to Imprint her human ex-boyfriend.
To add to her stress, she is not the only fledgling at the House of Night with special powers: When she discovers that the leader of the Dark Daughters, the school’s most elite group, is misusing her Goddess-given gifts, Zoey must look deep within herself for the courage to embrace her destiny – with a little help from her new vampyre friends.

Marked is the first novel in the House of Night series, i absolutely loved this book; infact it was one of the first series that i have read, and it started my love for reading paranormal romance novels.  The House of Night series takes vampires to a whole different level, were regular humans are marked ( a cresent moon in the middle of there fore head) when they are discovered to have a vampirism gene that is trigered during puberty, these new 'fledglings' are then sent to the House of Night were they learn how to become a vampire, and eventually become one. Unless of course there bodies don't accept the change and there body eventually gives up on them and they die... it's quite sad actually considering most new fledglings just wish they were human still, Zoe Does. P.C Cast & Kristen Cast also used there knowledge of goddesses & gods, to... spice up there novels, this is one of the reasons why i enjoyed this book so much, it's something that separated these novels from other vampire books.

Marked made we wanting more & more, the excitement never ended it's never ending mysteries, scandals and 'circle castings', had me intrigued from the very first chapter. I was so glad that P.C cast & Kristen decided to keep going on with the series,
it's one of my favourite progression of books. Although the last of the series {Burned} that i read i couldn't get past chapter four, because after book four the plot dynamics start to drag on... alottt! But that's later. This was soo good although it wasn't my favourite of the series so far :) Marked was a really, really good book it was mysterious, thrilling, and full of  action packed drama. not to mention heaps of super bad vampire guys <3  i definately recomend this book to all vampire lovin' book readers :)
